Reseller deal scout with max-buy math

Scans saved searches for underpriced items, checks sold comps and only alerts on deals that clear your profit target.

Copy-paste prompt

Every 30 minutes from 8am to 10pm, check these saved searches: [URLs]. For any new listing that might be a deal, find at least 5 sold prices from the last 90 days and take the middle one. Work out the net (sold price × (1 − [fee%]) − fees − shipping) and the most I should pay (net − $[transport] − $[target profit]). Only alert me if the asking price is at or below that, and show the comps and the maths. Don't message any seller.

Fill in everything in [square brackets]. Put your approval rules (see the free operator's charter) above it.

What you need

How the agent does it

  1. Open each saved search; collect new listings since the last run.
  2. For promising items, find 5+ recent sold comps and take the median.
  3. Net = median x (1 - fee%) - fixed fee - shipping; max buy = net - transport - target profit.
  4. Alert only if ask <= max buy; include comps, math and a suggested offer.

What you get

A deal alert with the item, ask, median sold price, net, max buy, suggested offer and comp links.

ScheduleEvery 30-60 minutes in your local market hours.
Needs your approvalMessaging sellers and buying need approval.
How to check it workedAt least 5 sold comps from the last 90 days for each alert; the math is shown.

Setting it up in each agent

In Grok Bot

Ask the Bot to run the prompt once and review the result. Then say "Save the process we just used as a skill called 'Reseller deal scout with max-buy math'" and "Create a routine that runs the Reseller deal scout with max-buy math skill every 30-60 minutes in your local market hours". Grok Bot's docs say a Bot can own up to 50 routines, schedules must be at least five minutes apart, and you should use Test run before you enable one.

In Meta Muse

Paste the prompt into Muse and ask it to remember the job and run it on the schedule. Muse asks for approval before outbound actions and purchases, so keep the 'don't send' line in the prompt. Before you rely on it, check that Muse can reach the apps this recipe needs.

In ChatGPT Dots

Give your dot the prompt as an ongoing goal and set the schedule. Dots can work between chats and ask for approval before sensitive actions. OpenAI says background work counts toward your plan's allowance, so match the frequency to what you actually need.

Run it by hand once with harmless inputs before you schedule it. A test run does real work.
